I'm feeling pretty great! I still have my energy, but don't get me wrong, there are days that I just need a nap! No nausea or anything for a while now. At 16 weeks I was officially banned from sleeping on my back (I am totally a back and stomach sleeper), so I (luckily) inherited Allison's Snoogle to help me stay on my side. And last week, low and behold, my body decided it was no longer a good idea to attempt to lay on my stomach. Don't worry, I wasn't laying flat on my stomach, more like over most of the way with my leg hitched up to make some room for my belly. But now, my body has denied me that privelege too. So, stuck from side to side all night. Needless to say, I'm waking up more now at night, and I still have to get up in the middle of the night to pee! That was supposed to go away in the 2nd trimester - what the heck?!?! Although, if those are my only complaints in this pregnancy, I am happy! This has really been a great experience and I haven't had too much discomfort. I am starting to feel my round ligaments now. MEDICAL CONTENT: Round ligaments are what helps keep your uterus and ovaries in place when you're NOT pregnant, so needless to say, they get quite stretched out when there is a baby in there! And, from what I read the other day, the uterus tends to twist to the right, so the pain is more common on the right. Sure enough, last Friday, I had a pain that ran from my right groin all the way up to about my belly button level in a stripe on the right side. And unfortunatlely, exercise can make it worse, along with turning over in bed. Well, I walk quite a bit during the day because my office is actually in our office building across the street from the hospital. By the time I got home, I couldn't do anything but lay down. But, as soon as I was laying for about 10-15 minutes, the pain was gone and I was fine all weekend! I haven't really had any crazy cravings, but I can put away some Sour Patch Kids, and every now and then I have to have a hamburger from Burger King. Has to be a BK Burger - no one else will do! Luckily that only comes up every now and then, so at least I'm not clogging my arteries too badly!
Well, the day after I took the above 22 week picture, I had to take out the belly button ring. Usually, the bottom of my piercing stays in my belly button and you can only see the top of it through my shirt. The last week or so, I've noticed it was getting a bit more even on top and bottom. So rather than stretch it all out and risk tearing it, I went ahead and took it out. It's still kinda weird to see my belly be flat, no shiny purple thing hanging out there anymore. I still try to scratch around it (for whatever reason, my belly button has been itchy lately), and it takes a couple of seconds to realize I don't need to do that anymore. :)
OH, and here is what I looked like at 20 weeks, when we found out that this little Peanut is a BOY!!
Nevermind the horrible quality, I temporarily lost my camera charger, so this was taken with my cell phone.
And I'll tell you what, this little man is a busy body!! He was moving all over the place during our ultrasound, I was really surprised at how much he moves and I don't feel it! I told the ultrasound tech that he always kicks me on the right, and she said it's because his head is down and his butt is just to the right of my belly button, but he's facing my back, so his legs are over on the right. I also think he does early morning yoga, because he sticks his little tush out in the mornings and I have this hard spot! Totally doing a Downward Dog. He's also started picking up his exercise sessions, usually in the evenings when I sit down to relax, and during the night when I wake up. And lately he's taken up karate - I get kicked and punched at the same time. Nothing like a POW in two places at once! He's kicking harder now, so Marc gets to feel it more, which makes him happy. Peanut doesn't like that I'm still trying to wear my pre-pregnancy pants - he kicks my waistband all the time, even though they're rubber banded! I have a feeling it won't be much longer till I have to wear maternity pants all the time.

I was going to post some of Peanut's Ultrasound pictures, but I can't quite figure out how to not make them huge, so I'll post them later.
Well, this post turned out to be a long one! I need to keep up a bit better with my posting! Last weekend I went to Midland to visit Allison, and got to Co-Parent with her, since Lance likes to run away when I come to town, lol. We went to birthday parties, got pedicures, and picked out material for Peanut's bedding. It was a nice weekend to just get away and hang out with the bestie and her kids. I watched R a lot, just thinking "oh wow, that will be me in 3 years!" I guess God kinda eases you into it, right??
OH, and apparently I have fans of my blog. So, this one is for you, guys, you know who you are: NACHO CHEESE!
