Thoughts and Prayers

**Update: I just talked to Dawn. She took 2 Tylenol PMs and is getting ready for bed. She has to be at the hospital at 5:45 in the morning for her 7:30 surgery. Check back tomorrow for updates! Oh, yeah, and pre-op for a hysterectomy?? Does NOT sound like fun.

So my 38 year old Big Sister has uterine fibroids, and since she is done having kids, she and her doctor decided it would be best to just proceed with a hysterectomy. Her surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, and my Mom is coming up to help with the kids. Since she can only stay the day, and John is still a little wiggy about female stuff, I'm going to stay with Dawn in the hospital. This way John can keep the kids on schedule and Mom will be back over the weekend. So please keep my sister and family in your thoughts and prayers over the next few days and weeks. I'll be posting updates for our out-of-town family on here, so the next few posts probably won't be very interesting to most of you. If all goes well, Dawn should be home on Wednesday!
